Program Mission: 

Graduating expert educators in the medical field with the knowledge, skills, professional 
behavior and research capabilities for leading educational and training programs to enhance the 
healthcare system of the community. 

 

Program Goals: 

  1. Preparing graduates with knowledge, skills and values commensurate with the needs of 
    the labor market in the field of medical education. 
  2. Acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to develop education and health sciences to 
    the highest international standards to enhance the health system of the community. 
  3. Promoting excellence and creativity in the fields of teaching and scientific research 

 

Program Learning Outcomes: 

Knowledge and understanding 

  1. Demonstrate understanding of the key concepts and theories underpinning health 
    professions’ education 
  2. Demonstrate understanding of educational research paradigms and how different 
    research methods are used to advance knowledge and understanding. 
  3. Demonstrate understanding of health professions’ education innovation, change models, 
    leadership theories and the use of learning technologies in providing and evaluating 
    education 

Skills: 

  1. Develop skills of self-reflection that results in the ability to generate a new perspective 
    or plan of action 
  2. Critically appraise the educational literature and be able to construct a powerful, 
    coherent, evidence-based argument drawing from relevant literature 
  3. Synthesize data and information from a range of sources 

Values, autonomy, and responsibility: 

  1. Demonstrate professional and ethical behaviors in interactions with faculty, learners and 
    other group members. 
  2. Display team working, leadership and management skills in group discussions and other 
    settings. 

 

Student Admission Requirements 

  1. The applicant should be a Saudi national and others may be accepted in 
    accordance with the regulations and instructions governing this. 
  2. The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree in one of the medical and health specializations or an equivalent qualification. 
  3. The applicant’s bachelor’s degree must not be less than good. 
  4. A letter of no objection from the direct manager or employer. 
  5. The candidate must be proficient in the English language. 

 

 

Job titles for the graduate of the Medical Education master  program : 

  1. Academic teachers in all health specialties
  2. Staff Development Specialist in Clinical Preparation.
  3. Program designer in training and rehabilitation centers .
  4.  Different health professions programs in any teaching hospital Field of teaching  and training .
  5.  Local and international health organizations.
  6. The program enhances applicants' chances of joining these jobs as well as their career development, promotions, and discrimination if applicants have already obtained these jobs before joining the program.
