I am pleased to welcome you all to the homepage of the department of Surgery. in Alignment with the vision and mission of the College of Medicine at Northern Border University, the department aspires to provide a modern educational environment for future physicians through advanced training courses and programs.
The department also strives to participate in several fields, including healthcare, Scientific research, and community service. in addition, the website also offers updates on events and general activities related to the department of Surgery and provides an opportunity to connect with faculty members and staff of the department.

About the department: The department was established alongside the founding of the College of Medicine in 1428AH (2007)AD, Following the blessed visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud - May Allah have mercy on him - to the Northern Border Region. The surgical courses are considered an essential component to the Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery program. The department offers several specialized courses including, Musculoskeletal, Urology, Radiology, and Ophthalmology. Surgical courses are taught to male and female students during the fourth, fifth, and sixth clinical years.

Department Activities
- The department undertakes teaching and learning responsibilities at the college of Medicine. it delivers courses on the fundamentals of surgical problems and the scientifically accepted approaches to managing them.
- In addition, the Department teaches other surgical specialties, including, orthopedics, urology, radiology, and ophthalmology. The department is also engaged in practical and research activities.
