The Department of Pediatrics provides services in child health and medical education. The Department makes notable efforts to advance healthcare services and medical education through a distinguished group of consultant physicians who are faculty members, in alignment with the strategic plan of the College of Medicine to enhance child health and community well being and to develop medical education at various levels.

The Department includes several subspecialties in pediatrics, such as Pediatric Neurology, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Nephrology, and General Pediatrics, among others.

In addition to its academic and research responsibilities, the Department contributes to the development of education, scientific research, and community service.
